Characters:
There are a great many number of characters that play a part in the story of Black Blood Brothers, and so we can't hope to include a comprehensive summary of them all. However listed below is the plot's major characters, both good and evil, that the series has to offer.
Jirou Mochizuki
A hero of the Hong Kong Crusade against the kowloon children and known in present day as “Silver Blade” or “Kinslayer,” Jiro was originally turned in the 1800s in London. In human form, Jiro was a military officer in the Japanese Navy. As an ancient vampire, he is considered an “old blood” or more specifically his bloodline is known as “blood of the Sage.” His brother Kotaro is the only other vampire who carries this bloodline.
Kotaro Mochizuki
The cheerful younger brother to Jiro, this mischievous vampire shares neither the same same tastes for combat or the inherent vulnerability that his kin possesses. He looks very different from Jiro, but similar to Jiro's former lover, Alice.
Mimiko Katsuragi
A human working as a negotiator of sorts between humans and vampires (also known as a compromiser), Mimiko is thrown into contact with Jiro by accident, and ends up getting into all sorts of trouble on their behalf. Outgoing on the outside but lacking confidence on the inside, Mimiko does everything within her power to help Jiro and his brother feel comfortable in the Special Zone.
Cassandra Jill Warlock
A former friend of Jiro and his lover, Cassandra betrayed them all and became one of the most powerful vampires to be tainted by the Kowloon Bloodline. Some believe that she is the lord of the Warlock family and a reincarnation of Morgan the Witch.
